§ 1325. Crimes and penalties

  • (a) A corporation, association, or partnership that is not permitted to conduct sports
    wagering pursuant to this chapter that operates, conducts, or exposes sports wagering
    for play or accepts a bet or wager associated with sports wagering shall: (1) for a first violation of this subsection, be fined not more than $50,000.00 or imprisoned
    not more than six months, or both; (2) for a second violation of this subsection, be fined not more than $150,000.00 or imprisoned
    not more than one year, or both; and (3) for a third or subsequent violation of this subsection, be fined not more than $300,000.00
    or imprisoned not more than two years, or both. (b) An operator who violates a provision of this chapter shall be fined: (1) for a first violation, not more than $25,000.00; (2) for a second violation, not more than $75,000.00; and (3) for a third violation, not more than $150,000.00. (c) Upon the violation of a provision of this chapter by an operator, the Department may
    terminate its contract with the operator and revoke the operator’s privilege to offer
    sports wagering within the State. (Added 2023, No. 63, § 1, eff. June 14, 2023.)
