§ WA.56.025. CHANGING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT

CHANGING THE PRELIMINARY REPORT. (a) The commissioners court may change the location of any improvement shown in the preliminary report or may add to or reduce the number of improvements. The commissioners court may order the engineer to locate any additional canals, drains, ditches, or levees for the purpose of conducting water from the land of the district or to prevent overflow of water from streams or other bodies of water onto the land of the district to be drained. (b) The commissioners court may refer the entire preliminary report to the engineer for compliance with its orders and may require the engineer to submit a further report. (c) If material changes or alterations are made in the preliminary report, the clerk shall give notice, and the commissioners court shall hold a hearing in the manner provided for the original preliminary report.
