§ WA.49.065. RECORDS

RECORDS. (a) The board shall keep a complete account of all its meetings and proceedings and shall preserve its minutes, contracts, records, notices, accounts, receipts, and other records in a safe place. (b) The records of each district are the property of the district and are subject to the open records law, Chapter 552 , Government Code. (c) The preservation, microfilming, destruction, or other disposition of the records of each district is subject to the requirements of Chapter 201 , Local Government Code, and rules adopted under that chapter. (d) Subsection (b) applies to a personal e-mail address of a director only if the district does not make available to the public an official e-mail address for the director or the district. In this subsection, "personal e-mail address" means an e-mail address that is not paid for by district money and is not used primarily for the transaction of official business of the district.
