§ TN.366.162. POWERS AND PROCEDURES OF AUTHORITY IN ACQUIRING PROPERTY

POWERS AND PROCEDURES OF AUTHORITY IN ACQUIRING PROPERTY. (a) An authority may construct or improve a turnpike project on real property, including a right-of-way acquired by the authority or provided to the authority for that purpose by the commission, a political subdivision of this state, or any other local governmental entity. (b) Except as provided by this chapter, an authority has the same powers and may use the same procedures as the commission in acquiring property.
