§ TN.342.103. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE

ISSUANCE OF LICENSE. (a) The commissioners court shall approve an application for a license to operate a ferry for hire if the applicant: (1) shows that the applicant owns the land on which the ferry is to be established; and (2) satisfies the court that the public convenience will be promoted by operation of the ferry. (b) The commissioners court shall issue the license when the applicant: (1) executes a bond in accordance with Section 342.104 ; and (2) presents a receipt from the county treasurer for payment of the license fee imposed under Section 342.104 . (c) A license issued under this section expires on the first anniversary of the date it is issued and may be renewed annually. Acts 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1995.
