§ SD.6903.159. CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS

CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS. (a) This section applies only to a construction contract or a contract for the purchase of material, equipment, or supplies requiring an expenditure of more than $25,000. (b) The district shall award a contract to the lowest and best bidder after publishing notice to bidders once a week for two weeks in a newspaper published in the district that is designated by the board. (c) The notice is sufficient if it states: (1) the time and place for opening the bids; (2) the general nature of the work to be done or the material, equipment, or supplies to be purchased; and (3) the place where and the terms on which copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained.
