§ SD.3860.107. MEMBERSHIP IN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS

MEMBERSHIP IN CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS. The district may join and pay dues to an organization that: (1) is an organization exempt from taxation under Section 501(a), Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as an organization described by Section 501(c)(3), (4), or (6) of that code; and (2) performs a service or provides an activity consistent with the furtherance of a district purpose. Added by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 968 (H.B. 4134 ), Sec. 1, eff. June 15, 2007.
