§ SD.1084.152. NOTICE

NOTICE; HEARING; ADOPTION OF BUDGET. (a) The board shall hold a public hearing on the proposed budget. (b) Notice of the hearing must be published at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the district not later than the 10th day before the date of the hearing. (c) Any district resident is entitled to: (1) appear at the time and place designated in the notice; and (2) be heard regarding any item included in the proposed budget. (d) The annual budget is effective only after adoption by the board. Added by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619 ), Sec. 1.01, eff. April 1, 2011.
