§ OC.602.053. PUBLIC MEMBER ELIGIBILITY
PUBLIC MEMBER ELIGIBILITY. (a) Repealed by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 838 , Sec. 2.197(8), eff. September 1, 2015. (b) Repealed by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 838 , Sec. 2.197(8), eff. (d) An advisory committee member representing the public must be a resident of this state for a period of not less than four years preceding appointment. A person may not be a member of the advisory committee representing the public if the person or the person's spouse: (1) is registered, certified, or licensed by a regulatory agency in a health care profession; (2) is employed by or participates in the management of a business entity or other organization regulated by or receiving money from the medical board; (3) owns or controls, directly or indirectly, more than a 10 percent interest in a business entity or other organization regulated by or receiving money from the medical board; or (4) uses or receives a substantial amount of tangible goods, services, or money from the medical board other than compensation or reimbursement authorized by law for medical board membership, attendance, or expenses.
