§ OC.1701.403. INVESTIGATIVE HYPNOSIS

INVESTIGATIVE HYPNOSIS. (a) The commission may establish minimum requirements for the training, testing, and certification of peace officers who use investigative hypnosis. (b) A peace officer may not use a hypnotic interview technique unless the officer: (1) completes a training course approved by the commission; and (2) passes an examination administered by the commission that is designed to test the officer's knowledge of investigative hypnosis. (c) The commission may issue a professional achievement or proficiency certificate to an officer who meets the requirements of Subsection (b). Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff.
