§ LG.351.044. PRISONER IN ANOTHER COUNTY'S JAIL

PRISONER IN ANOTHER COUNTY'S JAIL. A county to which a prisoner is sent due to the lack of a safe jail in the sending county as determined by the Commission on Jail Standards may recover by suit from the sending county the reasonable cost of keeping the prisoner. Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 149, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1987. Amended by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 578, Sec. 3, eff. Sept. 1, 1991.
