§ LG.133.053. INTEREST-BEARING ACCOUNT
INTEREST-BEARING ACCOUNT. (a) The treasurer may deposit fees in an interest-bearing account. (b) The municipality or county may retain any interest accrued on the money the treasurer deposited in the treasury if the treasurer remits the funds to the comptroller within the period prescribed by Section 133.055 (a). Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 209, Sec. 62(a), eff. Jan. 1, 2004.
