§ IN.1579.003. DEFINITION OF EMPLOYEE
DEFINITION OF EMPLOYEE. In this chapter, "employee" means a participating member of the Teacher Retirement System of Texas who is employed by a participating entity and who is not receiving coverage from a program under Chapter 1551 , 1575 , or 1601 . The term does not include an individual performing personal services as an independent contractor. Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 10A.471(a), eff. Sept. 1, 2003.
