§ GV.54.2302. QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATIONS; OATH OF OFFICE. (a) To be eligible for appointment as a magistrate, a person must: (1) be a citizen of the United States; (2) have resided in Kerr County for at least the two years preceding the person's appointment; and (3) be at least 30 years of age. (b) A magistrate appointed under Section 54.2301 must take the constitutional oath of office required of appointed officers of this state. Added by Acts 2019, 86th Leg., R.S., Ch. 606 (S.B. 891 ), Sec. 5.05, eff. September 1, 2019.
