§ GV.532.0051. COMMISSION ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICAID
COMMISSION ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICAID. (a) The commission is the state agency designated to administer federal Medicaid funds. (b) The commission shall: (1) in each agency that operates a portion of Medicaid, plan and direct Medicaid, including the management of the Medicaid managed care system and the development, procurement, management, and monitoring of contracts necessary to implement that system; and (2) establish requirements for and define the scope of the ongoing evaluation of the Medicaid managed care system conducted in conjunction with the Department of State Health Services under Section 108.0065 , Health and Safety Code. Added by Acts 2023, 88th Leg., R.S., Ch. 769 (H.B. 4611 ), Sec. 1.01, eff. April 1, 2025.
