§ GV.404.051. MONEY RETURNED TO COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY

MONEY RETURNED TO COUNTY OR MUNICIPALITY. If money is in the treasury for the purpose of paying an obligation due from a county or municipality and the comptroller finds from certified copies of the records of the commissioners court or by other satisfactory evidence that the obligation is no longer outstanding against the county or municipality, the comptroller shall draw a warrant on the treasury in favor of the county or municipality for that amount of money and shall pay the money to the treasurer of the county or municipality for the benefit of its general fund.
