§ GV.2306.491. BONDS NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS
BONDS NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS. Notwithstanding any other statute, a bond and interest coupon issued and delivered by the department is a negotiable instrument under the Uniform Commercial Code, except that the bond may be registered or subject to registration under this chapter. Added by Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 268, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1993. Amended by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 980, Sec. 46, eff. Sept. 1, 1997.
