§ ED.55.01. DEFINITIONS

DEFINITIONS. In this chapter: (1) "Institution of higher education" or "institution" has the meaning assigned to it by Section 61.003 (7) of this code, except that "public junior college" is excluded. (2) "Governing board" or "board" means the board having management and control of an institution of higher education. (3) "Revenue funds" means the revenues, incomes, receipts, rentals, rates, charges, fees, grants, and tuition levied or collected from any public or private source by an institution of higher education, including interest or other income from those funds. (4) "Bonds" means bonds, notes, or credit agreements a board is authorized to enter into either by this title or by other laws. Acts 1971, 62nd Leg., p. 3072, ch. 1024, art. 1, Sec. 1, eff.
