§ CV.3.08. ORGANIZATION OF BOARD
ORGANIZATION OF BOARD. (a) After each annual appointment or election of directors, the board shall hold a regular meeting in May at the district office and shall organize by electing from the members of the board one person to serve as chairman, one person to serve as vice-chairman, and one person to serve as secretary. (b) A person selected to serve as chairman, vice-chairman, or secretary serves in that capacity for a term of one year. (c) The chairman shall preside over meetings of the board, and in the chairman's absence the vice-chairman shall preside. (d) The chairman, vice-chairman, and secretary shall perform the duties and may exercise the powers specifically given them by this Act or by orders of the board.
