§ AG.41.052. STATE AGENCY

STATE AGENCY. (a) Each board is a state agency for purposes of indemnification and is exempt from taxation in the same manner and to the same extent as are other agencies of the state. (b) Each board is a governmental unit for purposes of Section 101.001 , Civil Practice and Remedies Code, and is a governmental body for purposes of Chapters 551 and 552 , Government Code. Acts 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1087, ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1981. Amended by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 52, Sec. 7, eff. May 7, 2001.
