§ AG.41.031. CERTIFICATION OF RESULTS
CERTIFICATION OF RESULTS. If the commissioner finds that two-thirds or more of those voting in the election voted in favor of the referendum proposition or that those voting in favor of the proposition produced at least 50 percent of the volume of production of the commodity during the relevant production period, the commissioner shall publicly certify the adoption of the referendum proposition and issue certificates of election to those persons elected to the board. Otherwise, the commissioner shall publicly certify that the referendum proposition was defeated. Acts 1981, 67th Leg., p. 1085, ch. 388, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1981.
