§ IN.981.220. MANAGING GENERAL AGENTS

MANAGING GENERAL AGENTS; LIMITED AUTHORITY OF CERTAIN AGENTS. A surplus lines license granted to a managing general agent who is not also licensed under Chapter 4051 is limited to the acceptance of business originating through a licensed general property and casualty agent. The license does not authorize the agent to engage in business directly with the insurance applicant. Added by Acts 2001, 77th Leg., ch. 1419, Sec. 1, eff. June 1, 2003.
