§ SD.9015.157. AWARD OF CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS
AWARD OF CERTAIN CONSTRUCTION CONTRACTS. (a) This section applies only to a construction contract requiring an expenditure of more than $2,000. (b) A contract may be awarded only after notice of the contract to bidders for sealed bids is published once a week for two weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the authority that is designated or approved by the board. (c) The notice is sufficient if it states: (1) the time and place for opening the bids; (2) the general nature of the work to be done or the material, equipment, or supplies to be purchased; and (3) the place where and the terms on which copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained.
