§ SD.8511.0308. WATER QUALITY CONTROL

WATER QUALITY CONTROL. (a) The authority may exercise the powers vested in a river authority by Chapters 5 , 7 , 17 , 26 , and 30 , Water Code, and Chapter 366 , Health and Safety Code. (b) The authority may perform the licensing and other functions authorized to be delegated to a local government by the commission in connection with the regulation of private sewage facilities under Chapter 366 , Health and Safety Code. (c) The authority may serve as the entity to provide regional or area-wide waste collection, treatment, and disposal systems as provided by Subchapter C , Chapter 26 , Water Code. Added by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 914 (H.B. 3530 ), Sec. 1.03, eff. April 1, 2023.
