§ ED.54.5131. INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FEE

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION FEE; THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN. (a) The board of regents of The University of Texas System may charge and collect from students registered at The University of Texas at Austin a fee of $2 if approved by the students in a student referendum for any semester or summer session. The fee may be increased to an amount not to exceed $4 if approved by the students in a student referendum. The fee may be used only for funding an international education program to be used to assist students participating in international student exchange or study programs. (b) The fund shall be used in accordance with guidelines jointly developed by The University of Texas at Austin Student Association and the administration of The University of Texas at Austin. (c) The international education financial aid fee imposed under this section shall not count in determining the maximum student services fee which may be charged the students of The University of Texas at Austin under this chapter.
