§ SD.3835.109. ANNEXATION IN OR NEAR CITY

ANNEXATION IN OR NEAR CITY. (a) In addition to the authority to annex territory under Subchapter C , Chapter 375 , Local Government Code, and Subchapter J , Chapter 49 , Water Code, the district may annex territory in the corporate limits or extraterritorial jurisdictions of the City of Rosenberg or the City of Richmond if: (1) the governing body of the city requests the annexation of its territory by ordinance or resolution; (2) the board holds a hearing to consider the city's request; and (3) the board determines that it is feasible, practicable, and to the district's advantage.
