§ GV.24.952. TERMS OF COURTS
TERMS OF COURTS. The terms of the district court of a judicial district affected by reapportionment under this subchapter shall be the terms provided by the board in the reapportionment order affecting the judicial district. In the absence of a provision by the board, the terms of the district court, until otherwise prescribed by law, begin on the first Mondays in January and July of each year and continue until the time for convening the next regular term of the court. Each district court may hold as many sessions of court in each county each year as the judge considers expedient. Added by Acts 1987, 70th Leg., ch. 148, Sec. 2.19(a), eff. Sept. 1, 1987.
