§ OC.1051.505. RESTITUTION
RESTITUTION. (a) The board may order a person registered under this subtitle to pay restitution to a consumer instead of or in addition to assessing an administrative penalty under this chapter. (b) The amount of restitution ordered by the board may not exceed the amount the consumer paid the person for a service regulated under this subtitle. The board may not include an estimation of other damages or harm in a restitution order. Added by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 331, Sec. 2.21, eff. Sept. 1, 2003.
