§ 8-23-209. Benefits for nurses on reduced schedule.
Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, the commissioner of human resources, in consultation with the commissioner of finance and administration, the state treasurer and other affected agency heads, may develop and implement a plan to employ nurses under which an employee may accrue full benefits while working a reduced schedule. Acts 2003, ch. 355, § 10; 2007, ch. 60. Compiler's Notes. Acts 2003, ch. 355, § 66 provided that no expenditure of public funds pursuant to the act shall be made in violation of the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as codified in 42 U.S.C. § 2000 d. Pursuant to Acts 2007, ch. 60, references to the department of personnel were changed to the department of human resources, effective April 24, 2007.
