§ 68-221-1002. Purpose and intent.

The purpose of this part is to: Facilitate statewide compliance with state and federal water quality standards; Provide local governments in the state with low-cost financial assistance relative to necessary wastewater facilities through the creation of a self-sustaining revolving loan program so as to improve and protect water quality and public health; and Establish fiscal self-sufficiency of wastewater facilities. It is intended that the revolving loan program be used in coordination with state and federal assistance programs. Acts 1987, ch. 299, § 2; T.C.A., § 68-13-1002 . Compiler's Notes.
