§ 6-56-104. Audit as public record — Publication.

The result of each audit provided for in §§ 6-56-101 — 6-56-103 shall be kept as a public record of the corporation, and shall be always subject to the inspection of each citizen or taxpayer of the corporation. A summary of the audit, prepared by the auditor, shall be published in at least one (1) issue of a newspaper of general circulation in the corporation, if there is one. The municipality shall place a copy of the result of each audit in the main branch of the public library located within the boundaries of the municipality. A municipality that permits access to public information through the Internet may also place a copy on the municipality's homepage. Acts 1917, ch. 64, § 4; Shan.
