§ 56-14-115. Commissions.

Agents licensed in accordance with this chapter shall not pay the whole or any part of the commission on surplus lines insurance to any person, except that the commissions may be shared or divided with any other person licensed by the commissioner as a surplus lines agent or licensed pursuant to chapter 6 of this title. Former part 1 of this chapter was deleted and renumbered as T.C.A. §§ 56-14-101 to 56-14-117 by authority of the Code Commission in 2016. Amendments. The 2018 amendment substituted “chapter shall not” for “chapter may not” near the beginning and added “or licensed pursuant to chapter 6 of this title” at the end. Effective Dates. Acts 2018, ch. 580, § 4. March 16, 2018.
