§ 50-3-201. Regulations authorized.
It is the responsibility of the commissioner of labor and workforce development to develop and promulgate regulations that adopt occupational safety and health standards. The commissioner may adopt as an occupational safety or health standard the federal standard relating to the same issue. The commissioner may, by regulation, promulgate, modify or revoke any occupational safety and health standard in the manner provided in the Uniform Administrative Procedures Act, compiled in title 4, chapter 5. The decision of an individual, corporation, business entity or local, state or federal government entity, or agent thereof, not to post property pursuant to § 39-17-1359, thereby allowing persons with handgun permits to carry a handgun on such property, does not constitute an occupational safety and health hazard within the jurisdiction of this chapter.
