§ 5-9-108. Medical services.

The county legislative body or governing body of each county is authorized and empowered in its discretion to appropriate from the general funds of such county a sum of money for the purpose of defraying the cost of acquiring real estate and partially funding the operation of a nonprofit corporation that provides, through the national health service corps, medical services to members of the community for a fee and to indigent patients without charge; provided, that such nonprofit corporation is eligible for financial assistance by agencies of the state or federal government under any of its programs.
