§ 49-4-201. Creation.
There is created a nonprofit corporation, which shall be known as the Tennessee student assistance corporation, to administer student assistance programs authorized by law, which corporation shall be registered with the secretary of state, and shall be subject to the corporate laws of this state, except as provided in parts 2, 3, and 6-9 of this chapter. Acts 2020, ch. 794, § 1 provided that the act, which amended this section, shall be known and may be cited as the “Financial Aid Simplification for Tennesseans (FAST) Act”. Amendments. The 2020 amendment substituted “parts 2, 3, and 6-9” for “parts 2-7” at the end of this section. Effective Dates. Acts 2020, ch. 794, § 70. August 1, 2020. Cross-References.
