§ 40-34-102. Authority to establish program.
The commissioner of correction and the board of parole are authorized to establish a contract sentencing program, and to promulgate rules and regulations governing it, consistent with this chapter. The rules and regulations shall include eligibility requirements, procedures and the general form and substance of agreements that may be entered into under the program. Impl. am. Acts 2012, ch. 727, § 1 amended § 4-3-104 , which concerns name changes of departments and divisions, to provide that references to the board of probation and parole, formerly referred to in this section, are deemed references to the board of parole.
