§ 4-24-102. Recommendations to governor and general assembly.
The commission shall recommend to the governor and the general assembly standards of performance, courses of instruction and training, and procedures for certifying levels of achievement for full-time municipal and volunteer firefighters. The authority to certify firefighters is vested exclusively in the commission on firefighting personnel standards and education; the Fire Service and Codes Enforcement Academy cannot provide such certification, OAG 01-008, 2001 Tenn.
