§ 63-6-203. Penalties.
Any person who practices medicine or surgery in this state without having first complied with the provisions of this chapter commits a Class B misdemeanor for each instance of such practice. Each time any person practices medicine or surgery without first obtaining a valid certificate or renewing a certificate constitutes a separate offense. Any person filing or attempting to file as the person's own a diploma or license of another or a forged affidavit of identification commits a Class E felony. All fines for offenses under this chapter shall be paid over to the board to constitute a part of the funds of the board to be paid into the state treasury.
