§ 38-6-110. Central registry for sexual offenders.
The Tennessee bureau of investigation shall establish a central registry of sexual offenders modeled after statutes enacted in other states. The registry shall include all validated offenders from files maintained by the department of children's services, all persons who have been arrested for the commission of a sexual offense, and all persons who have been convicted of a sexual offense. The departments of correction and children's services and local law enforcement agencies shall cooperate fully in the creation and updating of the central registry.
