§ 30-1-114. Transfer of administration to new county.

Any person interested in an administration may have the administration transferred to a new county formed after it was granted, and including the residence of the deceased, by filing, in the clerk's office of the new county, a transcript, duly certified, of the proceedings already had in the administration, after which the administration shall be conducted as if the letters had been granted in the new county. But without so filing a transcript, the probate court of the new county, or its clerk, can do nothing in the administration. The fees paid to the clerk of the old county for the transcript, by the party procuring it, shall be chargeable to the estate.
