§ 4725.21.
(A) If an optometrist licensed by the state vision professionals board has reason to
believe that another optometrist licensed currently or previously by the board has
engaged in any course of treatment or other services to a patient that constitutes
unprofessional conduct under section 4725.19 of the Revised Code , or has an addiction subject to board action under section 4725.19 of the Revised Code , the optometrist shall make a report to the board. (B) Any person may report to the board in a signed writing any information that the person
may have that appears to show a violation of any provision of sections 4725.01 to 4725.34 of the Revised Code or the rules adopted under those sections. (C) Each complaint or allegation of a violation received by the board shall be assigned
a case number and shall be recorded by the board. (D) In the absence of fraud or bad faith, no person who reports to the board under this
section or testifies in any adjudication conducted under Chapter 119. of the Revised
Code shall be liable to any person for damages in a civil action as a result of the
report or testimony.
