§ 3125.141.

In providing for service of process of a notice or order as required under this chapter

or Chapter 3111., 3115., 3119., 3121., or 3123. of the Revised Code and in locating

the individual to be served, a child support enforcement agency may do one or both

of the following: (A) Contract with the sheriff of the county served by the agency to compensate the sheriff's

office for the provision of services, staff, or equipment, or for the performance

of actions, on behalf of the child support enforcement agency to accomplish the objectives

of the support enforcement program pursuant to Title IV-D of the “Social Security

Act,” 88 Stat. 2351 (1975), 42 U.S.C. 651, et. seq., as amended, any regulations adopted under that act, and state law; (B) Contract with a private person or entity to provide service of process for the agency

if the agency determines that the sheriff of the county served by the agency is unable

to provide the resources necessary for service of process in a timely manner.  The contract may include additional incentives for successful service of process.
