§ 1711.34.
If the law makes it the duty of the board of county commissioners to purchase additional
fairgrounds for the use of a county agricultural society, the board of directors of
such society shall prosecute the proceedings for appropriation to their final conclusion,
except as to payment of purchase money, before the board of county commissioners can
be called upon to act in the matter. Then the board of county commissioners shall make such payment or deposit, not above
fifteen thousand dollars in amount, as such board of directors or the court having
jurisdiction in such proceedings requires, and delay by the board of county commissioners
in so doing shall not prevent such purchase or appropriation.
