§ 2315.03.

When the case is submitted, the jury may decide it in court or retire to deliberate.  Upon retiring, they must be kept together, in charge of an officer, at a convenient

place, until they agree upon a verdict or are discharged by the court.  The court may permit them temporarily to separate at night and for their meals.
