§ 90-726. 1. Declaration of purpose.

The practice of behavior analysis in North Carolina affects the public health, safety, and welfare of citizens of North Carolina and shall be subject to regulation to protect the public from (i) the practice of behavior analysis by unqualified individuals and (ii) unprofessional, unethical, or harmful conduct by individuals licensed to practice behavior analysis. History (2021-22, s. 1(a).) Editor's Note. - Session Laws 2021-22, s. 4, made this Article, as added by Session Laws 2021-22, s. 1(a), effective May 17, 2021, and applicable to licenses granted or renewed on or after that date. Session Laws 2021-22, s. 1(c), provides: "The North Carolina Behavior Analysis Board shall adopt temporary rules to implement this section. The temporary rules shall remain in effect until permanent rules that replace the temporary rules become effective."
