§ 90-113. 73A. Expand monitoring capacity; report.

The North Carolina Controlled Substances Reporting System shall expand its monitoring capacity by establishing data use agreements with the Prescription Behavior Surveillance System. In order to participate, the CSRS shall establish a data use agreement with the Center of Excellence at Brandeis University no later than January 1, 2016. Repealed by Session Laws 2020-78, s. 4B.1(a), effective July 1, 2020. History (2015-241, s. 12F.16(j), (k); 2020-78, s. 4B.1(a).) Editor's Note. - Session Laws 2015-241, s. 12F.16(j) and (k), effective September 18, 2015, were codified as this section at the direction of the Revisor of Statutes. Session Laws 2015-241, s. 12F.16(m)-(q) were codified as G.S. 90-113.75 A and amended by 2017-57, s. 11F.10, and subsequently renumbered as G.S. 90-113.75 E at the direction of the Revisor of Statutes. Session Laws 2017-57, s. 1.1, provides: "This act shall be known as the 'Current Operations Appropriations Act of 2017.'" Session Laws 2017-57, s. 39.6, is a severability clause. Session Laws 2020-78, s. 22.1, provides: "Except for statutory changes or other provisions that clearly indicate an intention to have effects beyond the 2019-2021 fiscal biennium, the textual provisions of this act apply only to the 2019-2021 fiscal biennium." Session Laws 2020-78, s. 22.3, is a severability clause. Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2020-78, s. 4B.1(a), effective July 1, 2020, deleted subsection (b), which read: "Beginning September 1, 2016, and every two years thereafter, the Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Abuse Services of the Department of Health and Human Services shall report on its participation with the Prescription Behavior Surveillance System to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Health and Human Services and the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety.”
