§ 90-113. 39. Standards for credentials.
The Board shall establish standards to credential substance abuse professionals. The credentialing standards of the International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium/Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse, Incorporated and the standards adopted by professional disciplines granted deemed status or their successor organizations may be used as guidelines for the Board's standards. The Board shall publish these required standards. History (1993 (Reg. Sess., 1994), c. 685, s. 1; 1997-492, s. 8; 1999-164, s. 9; 2005-431, s. 1.) Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2005-431, s. 1, effective September 22, 2005, substituted "credentials" for "certification" in the section heading; substituted "to credential" for "for certification of" in the first sentence; substituted "credentialing" for "certification" near the beginning of the second sentence; and rewrote the last sentence.
