§ 20-289. License fees.

The license fee for each fiscal year, or part thereof, shall be as follows: For motor vehicle dealers, distributors, distributor branches, and wholesalers, ninety dollars ($90.00) for each place of business. For manufacturers, one hundred ninety-five dollars ($195.00) and for each factory branch in this State, one hundred thirty dollars ($130.00). For motor vehicle sales representatives, twenty dollars ($20.00). For factory representatives, or distributor representatives, twenty dollars ($20.00). Repealed by Session Laws 1991, c. 662, s. 4. The fees collected under this section shall be credited to the Highway Fund. These fees are in addition to all other taxes and fees. Editor's Note. - Session Laws 2015-241, s. 1.1, provides: "This act shall be known as 'The Current Operations and Capital Improvements Appropriations Act of 2015.'" Session Laws 2015-241, s. 29.30(u), made the amendment to subsection (a) of this section by Session Laws 2015-241, s. 29.30(p), applicable to issuances, renewals, restorations, and requests on or after January 1, 2016. Session Laws 2015-241, s. 33.6, is a severability clause. Effect of Amendments. - Session Laws 2005-276, s. 44.1(o), effective October 1, 2005, and applicable to fees collected on or after that date, in subdivision (a)(1), substituted "seventy dollars ($70.00)" for "fifty dollars ($50.00)"; in subdivision (a)(2), substituted "one hundred fifty dollars ($150.00)" for "one hundred dollars ($100.00)" and "one hundred dollars ($100.00)" for "seventy dollars ($70.00)"; and in subdivisions (a)(3) and (a)(4), substituted "fifteen dollars ($15.00)" for "ten dollars ($10.00)." Session Laws 2015-241, s. 29.30(p), effective January 1, 2016, rewrote the dollar amounts throughout subsection (a). For applicability, see editor's note.
