§ 20-175. 15. Definitions.

The following definitions apply to this Part: Agent. - A director, officer, employee, or other person authorized to act on behalf of a business entity. Business entity. - A corporation, limited liability company, partnership, sole proprietorship, or other legal entity authorized to conduct business under the laws of this State. Operator. - An agent who is 16 years of age or older and is charged with the responsibility of monitoring and operating a personal delivery device. Pedestrian area. - A sidewalk, crosswalk, school crosswalk, school crossing zone, or safety zone. Personal delivery device. - As defined in G.S. 20-4.01. History (2020-73, s. 2.) Editor's Note. - Session Law 2020-73, s. 7 made this Part, as added by Session Laws 2020-73, s. 2, effective December 1, 2020, and applicable to offenses committed on or after that date. Session Laws 2020-73, s. 2, enacted G.S. 20-175.7 . It was renumbered as this section at the direction of the Revisor of Statutes.
