§ 147-86. 55. Article title.
This Article may be cited as the "Iran Divestment Act of 2015. History (2015-118, s. 1.) Editor's Note. - This Article was enacted as Article 6A of Chapter 143C and was redesignated as Article 6E of Chapter 147 pursuant to the direction of the Revisor of Statutes. This section was enacted by Session Laws 2015-118, s. 1, as G.S. 143C-6A-1. It was renumbered at the direction of the Revisor of Statutes. Session Laws 2015-118, s. 2, provides: "Nothing in this act is intended to create a fiduciary relationship between the State Treasurer and any party who uses the list or any fiduciary duty on the part of the State Treasurer where one does not otherwise exist by law." Session Laws 2015-118, s. 3, provides: "The State Treasurer shall submit to the Attorney General of the United States a written notice describing this act within 30 days after the effective date of this act [October 1, 2015]." Session Laws 2015-118, s. 4(a), provides: "Pursuant to G.S. 147-69.3(g), the State Treasurer is authorized to retain the services of consultants, professional individuals, analysts, data collection firms, or other persons possessing specialized skills or knowledge necessary for the proper implementation and administration of the requirements of this act." This section is effective June 29, 2015.
